How to Install a BCB Tool in MT4
This guide explains how to add a downloaded BCB Systems tool to MetaTrader 4. The exact file name and settings may vary between products, so follow the instructions supplied with the downloaded package.
The steps below are verified for BCB Trade Risk Helper Lite for MT4 v1.0.0. For Pro or another product, follow the README supplied with that specific product.
Download the Lite package
The current Lite download is BCB_Trade_Risk_Helper_Lite_MT4_v1.0.0.zip. Save the ZIP package in a location you can find.
Extract the package
Extract BCB_Trade_Risk_Helper_Lite_MT4_v1.0.0.zip, then open the extracted folder. The file to install is BCB_Trade_Risk_Helper_Lite_MT4.ex4.
Open the MT4 data folder
In MetaTrader 4, select File > Open Data Folder.
Copy the Expert Advisor into its MT4 folder
In the MT4 data folder, open MQL4 > Experts. Copy BCB_Trade_Risk_Helper_Lite_MT4.ex4 into the Experts folder.
Restart MT4 or refresh Expert Advisors
Return to MT4 and either restart the platform or right-click Navigator > Expert Advisors and select Refresh.
Locate the Lite Expert Advisor
In Navigator, open Expert Advisors and locate BCB_Trade_Risk_Helper_Lite_MT4.
Add the Lite tool to a chart
Open a chart and drag BCB_Trade_Risk_Helper_Lite_MT4 onto it. In the Inputs tab, enter your chosen risk percentage and confirm whether Equity or Balance is the intended account basis. The supplied guide states that live trading, DLL imports and imported external experts are not required and may remain disabled.
Confirm the Lite dashboard is operating
The dashboard should be visible on the chart immediately after attachment, even when no market ticks arrive. Confirm that the displayed account amount and currency are correct. After a positive risk input up to 100% is accepted and the cash amount is calculated, the status should read READY. Independently verify the result before relying on it.
